Appearance

A fast-growing columnar cactus with smooth, vibrant green skin and 6–8 rounded ribs. Spines are short and light brown, often barely visible on young specimens. Known for its elegant symmetry and impressive vertical growth—can reach up to 20 feet (6 meters) in the ground over time.

Care & Growing Conditions

Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade; acclimate to direct sunlight gradually.
Soil: Use a well-draining cactus mix or sandy loam.
Watering: Allow soil to dry completely between waterings. Reduce watering in winter months.
Temperature: Thrives in USDA zones 8–10. Can tolerate brief frosts down to 20°F (-6°C).
