Appearance
A compact, clustering cactus with rounded to short-cylindrical stems covered in neat rows of tubercles.
Features fine white radial spines and longer, darker central spines that create a soft yet textured look.
Forms dense clumps over time, typically staying under 8–10 inches tall while spreading wider.
Care & Growing Conditions
Light: Prefers bright light to full sun; adequate light encourages compact growth and flowering.
Soil: Well-draining cactus or sandy soil mix.
Watering: Water sparingly; allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Reduce watering in winter.
Temperature: Thrives in USDA zones 9–11; protect from temperatures below 30°F (-1°C).
Humidity: Prefers low humidity and dry conditions.
Flower
