Common Names: Medusa’s Head, Snake Cactus, Octopus Plant
Appearance
Forms a central, thick, short stem with numerous long, serpent-like branches radiating outward, resembling a Medusa’s head.
Branches are green to bluish-green, covered in small tubercles, and may ooze white latex when cut.
Can spread up to 3 feet (90 cm) wide and about 1 foot (30 cm) tall.
Care & Growing Conditions
Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade; bright light promotes healthy growth.
Soil: Well-draining, sandy, or cactus mix soil.
Watering: Drought-tolerant; allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings.
